Katherine Heigl supports the writer's strike December 16, 2007
Despite being busy with her upcoming wedding celebration (December 23, so near!!!), Katherine Heigl still found time to publicly show her support for the Hollywood writers on strike. If you must know, the strike has been going on for six weeks already and shows no signs of letting up. The "Grey's Anatomy" actress was accompanied by her future groom, T.R. Knight (in red shirt above), as they showed support for the Writer's Guild of America's "Diversity Day" at Paramount Pictures studio last December 12 in Los Angeles, California.
Katherine Heigl has also expressed her decision to skip this year's Golden Globes if the writers' strike is still on next month. "I'm not crossing the picket line-not unless I'm contractually obliged to do so, which with the Golden Globes I'm not," the actress, who got a Best Supporting nomination for her work on Grey's Anatomy, told Entertainment Tonight. Katherine Heigl further shares, "The last episode we did [for Grey's Anatomy], the writers were on strike, [but] we had to go to work every day and cross the picket line...it feels awful. Unfortunately, the actors were contractually obliged to be there. We could have been sued if we didn't go to work. But it's hard-I'd like to avoid it."
Katherine Heigl loves grass! December 1, 2007
Before your overactive minds go into overdrive, it's not illegal drugs people! Lol! Katherine Heigl is squeaky when it comes to those bad things (I guess, lol). Her only nasty habit is her much-derided heavy smoking. Anyway, the grass I'm talking about is very healthy. Katherine Heigl and her fiance musician Josh Kelley got this stuff on at a local health store last Thursday in Los Feliz, California. The "Grey's Anatomy" actress bravely tried one shot of the icky wheatgrass and ginger concoction as you can see in the photo (left). So how does it taste? Grassy and gingery, I bet! Hehe! The two left the store with bags full of health-conscious goodies like vitamins, juice shake mixes and a complete internal cleanser (for colon cleansing). Katherine Heigl and Josh then headed to Cosmos Cafe for lunch afterwards and then to Kat's mother's house in Calabasas. All in a day for the soon-to-be married sweethearts!
Katherine Heigl's "ugly truth"! October 18, 2007
Before you think of scandals and what-nots, STOP! Katherine Heigl has no juicy skeletons in her closet that the paparazzi can dig up. "The Ugly Truth" is just another upcoming movie for Hollywood's current "It" girl. Katherine Heigl's star began to shine in the hit TV show "Grey's Anatomy", but it was in this summer's sleeper hit "Knocked Up" that she caught Hollywood's fancy. Since then, she has 3 movies under her wing. One ("27 Dresses", a romantic comedy) is scheduled for release early next year. Anyway, "The Ugly Truth" is another romantic comedy from the team behind Legally Blonde. Katherine Heigl plays a news producer who is forced to hire an obnoxious self-proclaimed relationship expert for her show. His theories ends up helping her get the guy of her dreams. Robert Luketic will direct this movie which will begin filming this April 15. Says the director, "It's an honest and, at times, ribald exploration of men, women and the complicated relationships they weave." Sounds interesting enough to me! =)
